After many wars the earth has desolated and the world has collapsed. The chosen few become the leaders of a nation， and parts of the people become rich and the unfortunate were put into the slums. Aki lives in the slums with her friends but gets chased by hunters while they were questing for a heritage. She runs into the laboratory of the Old World， and accidentally turns on the machine. A mysterious girl appears from the machine and transformed into a black knight. She easily defeats the hunters who were chasing Aki. Aki names the mysterious girl Zero， and takes her with to the village... But her village was attacked by the soldiers of Z. Zero destroys the soldiers who were left in the village， but Executioner X shows up. X overpowers Zero， but while fighting it Zero begins to remember her past... What was Zero’s true mission?
